Welcome to Inboxto. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our temporary email service. By accessing or using Inboxto, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Inboxto, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the service, including free and Premium subscribers.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of Inboxto after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
Inboxto provides temporary, disposable email addresses that:
- Automatically expire after a set retention period
- Protect your primary email address from spam and unwanted messages
- Can be used for online registrations, downloads, and testing
- Require no registration for basic use
2.1 Service Tiers
- Free: 3 email addresses, 7-day retention, 5 starred messages, 5 AI summaries per day
- Premium: Unlimited addresses, 90-day retention, unlimited starred messages and AI summaries, custom domains, API access
2.2 Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.
3. User Eligibility and Accounts
3.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use Inboxto. By using our service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
3.2 Account Registration
- Free users can use the service without creating an account
- Premium features require account registration via Google, GitHub, or email authentication
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
- You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@inboxto.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
4.1 Permitted Uses
You may use Inboxto for legitimate purposes, including:
- Protecting your primary email from spam
- Signing up for online services and newsletters
- Testing email functionality for development purposes
- Receiving one-time verification codes and activation links
- Downloading files or accessing content that requires email registration
4.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to use Inboxto for:
- Illegal Activities: Any purpose that violates local, state, national, or international law
- Fraud: Creating fake accounts, identity theft, or financial fraud
- Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk emails or participating in spam campaigns
- Harassment: Harassing, threatening, or abusing others
- Malware Distribution: Distributing viruses, malware, or malicious code
- System Abuse: Attempting to access, probe, or test the vulnerability of our systems
- Circumvention: Bypassing account bans or service restrictions on other platforms
- Automated Abuse: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to create excessive email addresses
- Resale: Reselling or redistributing our service without authorization
- Impersonation: Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely representing your affiliation
4.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates this Acceptable Use Policy, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
5. Premium Subscriptions
5.1 Billing
- Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
- Pricing is displayed in USD and may vary by region due to taxes and currency conversion
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe
- You authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle
- Failed payments may result in service suspension
5.2 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime from your account settings.
5.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- You can cancel your subscription at any time
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- Refunds for annual subscriptions may be provided within 14 days of purchase on a case-by-case basis
- We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of abuse or policy violations
5.4 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes for existing subscribers will take effect at the next renewal after at least 30 days' notice.
6. Content and Data
6.1 Email Content
- You retain all rights to emails received at your temporary addresses
- We do not claim ownership of your email content
- We may access email content only for service operation, security, and support
- Emails are automatically deleted after the retention period (7 or 90 days depending on plan)
6.2 Data Responsibility
You are solely responsible for backing up important emails before they are automatically deleted. We are not liable for any data loss after the retention period expires.
6.3 License to Operate
By using Inboxto, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your email content as necessary to provide the service, including using AI to generate summaries for Premium users.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Rights
All content, features, and functionality of Inboxto (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and design) are owned by Inboxto and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Inboxto for personal or internal business purposes. This license does not allow you to:
- Modify, copy, or create derivative works
- Reverse engineer or decompile the service
- Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use automated systems to access the service beyond normal usage
7.3 Trademarks
"Inboxto" and related logos are trademarks of Inboxto. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
8. Service Modifications and Termination
8.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Inboxto at any time, with or without notice. This includes:
- Adding or removing features
- Changing retention periods
- Adjusting usage limits
- Updating pricing
- Discontinuing the service entirely
8.2 Account Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all your data (including emails and account information) will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
8.3 Account Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Abuse or misuse the service
- Pose a security or legal risk
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
9. Disclaimers and Warranties
9.1 "As Is" Service
INBOXTO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9.2 No Guarantees
We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- All emails will be successfully received
- Data will be securely stored or backed up
- Defects will be corrected
- The service will meet your specific requirements
9.3 Email Delivery
We cannot guarantee that all emails will be received. Some senders may block or filter temporary email addresses. Email delivery depends on factors beyond our control, including sender policies and email infrastructure.
9.4 Third-Party Content
We are not responsible for the content of emails you receive through Inboxto. Email content is provided by third-party senders and may contain malicious content, spam, or inappropriate material.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INBOXTO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Statements or conduct of any third party on the service
- Any other matter relating to the service
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO INBOXTO IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Inboxto and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Any content you receive or send through the service
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@inboxto.app to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiations.
12.2 Arbitration
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Inboxto shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in [Your Jurisdiction], and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
12.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent infringement of intellectual property rights or confidential information.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms without restriction.
14.5 Survival
Sections that by their nature should survive termination of these Terms (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) shall survive termination.
14.6 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, network infrastructure failures, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
